and succeeding in many events, whilst giving precious time arranging driving We hope you like our area website designed and produced by Christopher Bambridge. The Glensevern driving weekend was a great success and enjoyed by all. This was
two days of forest driving around the Llanguirg area. Many thanks to Glenys & On August Bank Holiday, we put on a display at Llangynidr , a small show, nr. Brecon. Many thanks to Emily Ham for her lovely display with her stallion, Crossfield Glory. It was a lovely fine day and the crowds thoroughly enjoyed the commentary and display, hopefully gaining an insight into Carriage Driving and recruiting new members. We had lots of interest from Juniors and they enjoyed sitting in the Show Carriage. Congratulations also to Emily for winning her class at the Junior BHDTA championships. “Jack” has done her proud. During August, we had a BBQ & Equine Boot Sale at Llangamach Wells. Many
thanks to Bob & Phillipa Giles for arranging this. Despite the weather, it was a nice Members also participated in the Welsh Le-Trec Championships on 13th September. Many congratulations to the winner, Mike Davies of Garth and his navigator, Liam (a team to be challenged next year)! Also, Emily Ham & Chris and Kath and Ray Gower, all of whom took three of the top four places. I hope we will see more of you try Le Trec in 2010. It’s good fun and helps develop your driving skills. Beulah Show – This is the second year, we have put on some driving classes at this
lovely show. The show offers us plentiful parking & ring facilities and they cannot Our annual Dragon Drive on 26/27 September was a real hit this year. We are sorry to those who had to go on a waiting list, but spaces are limited and you have to book early for next year. Many drivers came from all the corners of the U.K. & overseas to enjoy the wonderful scenery and driving challenges that Mid Wales offers. They enjoyed two days of off road driving and socialising. Many elected to stay between five and seven days, allowing them extra time to drive the countless tracks. Many asking to return next year. It was also nice to see some of our members attend Sunday’s Drive. Diary date: 25/26 September 2010. On 4th October, we had a fun Rally arranged by Mike Davies. This was a 10 mile
road Drive with a few driving tasks on route. Mike kindly offered me his horse to On Saturday 28th November at 12noon there was a social drive around the Elan Valley Dams . See pictures and report under events. Many thanks to the organizers of this lovely drive. On Sunday 6th December Mike Davies organized a two hour Fun Indoor Cones event at Penybont, Llandrindod Wells. This was well attended with some new faces and two very promising junior drivers taking part. Everyone had great fun with enough space in the indoor school to accommodate all the turnouts in the dry while waiting their turn . By popular request another event will be organized for the new year! And after these busy months a chance to indulge yourselves in good company …..Don’t forget to book your Christmas dinner on 18th December as soon as possible !!
